"How to start this post...it is with a heavy heart that I announce that the Reeves have decided to not have the Tall Pines show any longer. It has been a fabulous run but all great things do come to an end....The year end awards banquet will be held on January 31st at the Outback building at Coastal Electric Cooperative in Walterboro...I appreciate all the support that you have given Tall Pines thru the years and ask that you support other local shows such as Coastal Island at Mullet Hall. I'm going to miss seeing you all."
The awards banquet will be at 7pm, at $12/person. Please contact Karen with to let her know you are attending. She needs a head count for all the fixin's.
Tall Pines was the brain child of Angie Davis and George and Kathy Reeves. The first show was September 2009, a little shakey but a great start. Angie stepped out three years ago, and Karen stepped in. First the Davis' , then the Lyons' and always the Reeves have been there every show to make the grounds look good, water the arenas and tend to all the details that make a show run smoothly. From your feedback, we know you appreciate all the work that goes into making a fun show, and we ask that you keep showing, have fun, and support the remaining shows being offered in our area.
The Tall Pines Horse Show Circuit is a family friendly series held at the beautiful new Reeves Equestrian Center in Reevesville, SC. There are divisions covering English, Western and Gaited riding disciplines. Riders vie for ribbons and Championships at individual shows, and for points toward great year-end awards. There are seven shows in the series, usually on the forth Saturday of the month, in February, March, and April (working around the Rolex dates), September, October (working around 4H and the State Fair) and the Saturday before Thanksgiving.
